Join me on my journey from Marrakesh to the Sahara and then to Fès and the blue city Chefchaouen! Our first stop is Marrakesh, a vibrant city with a beautiful old town and the breathtaking Jemaa el-Fnaa, the city’s main square and market place.
We are now leaving Marrakesh for a trip to the Sahara, the world’s largest hot desert.
We are stopping at a kasbah, a place which was used as a residence for the local leader and as a shield when a city was under attack.
After an eight hour train journey, we arrive late at the medina of Fès, the city with the world’s largest medieval old town.
Let’s head to Chefchaouen, which is a 4.5 hour bus ride away from Fès. The old town of Chefchaouen is famous for its blue painted walls and alleys.
None of the portfolios is comprehensive and final. They do not necessarily represent a city, a region or a country as a whole.
